INGREDIENT INSIGHT:
Sodium Aluminum Phosphate: A manufactured mineral salt made from sodium, aluminum, and phosphate. It is commonly used as a leavening agent in baked goods, helping dough and batter rise when heated. It does not occur naturally in the refined form used in food and is produced through chemical processing.
Calcium Phosphate: A calcium-based mineral compound commonly used in food as a leavening agent and calcium source. It is made by combining calcium with phosphate and is refined into a food-grade powder. While calcium and phosphate are naturally occurring minerals, calcium phosphate in this purified form is manufactured and processed rather than naturally occurring in the finished food.
