ABOUT THE PRODUCER

Founded in 2013, Food & Ferments was born from a love of good food, family traditions, and the farms that grow it. Rooted in Central New York’s cabbage country, the company makes small-batch, raw and unpasteurized fermented foods, probiotic tonics, and apple cider vinegar drinks in Cortland, New York. About 90% of its vegetables come from family farms throughout the Finger Lakes, where they are transformed into sauerkraut, kimchi, pickles, beet kvass, and other traditionally fermented foods. Food & Ferments uses time-honored methods that let fermentation—not vinegar—do the work, creating living foods with a strong connection to the land and farmers they come from.
