ABOUT THE FARMS:

R Urtel Farms is a fourth-generation, family-owned farm nestled among the wineries of Niagara County. The farm specializes in pasture-raised and rotationally grazed poultry, eggs, pork, and grass-fed beef, with a focus on animal well-being, freshness, and quality. Their pasture-based practices give animals access to fresh air and open pasture while providing local customers with food they can feel good about. Rotational Grazing and Grass isn't just for pork and beef.  

Their Egg layers enjoy the same freedoms with access to fresh air and turf that other production systems just cannot provide. The birds are offered protection and a mobile "homebase" in their egg mobiles (egg houses on wheels).  The netting you see is temporary and portable.  New paddocks are set up and the flock is offered a new site to enjoy.

Crystal Valley Creamery is a certified organic farm and 100% grass based. They focus on rotational grazing, soil management, animal husbandry and nutrition. Since the farm is licensed for raw milk sales, they offer raw and pasteurized milk on-site. In addition, all the milk is full fat. Nothing has been taken away.
